Andrea L'Heureux is a respected teen expert who has helped hundreds of parents, kids, and teachers survive and thrive the perils of being a teenager. She, is a sought after expert whose practical advice has helped hundreds of parents and educators to bring out the best in teens.

Andrea started The C-Factor to enhance the lives of teens and to help them improve their quality of life. Through her breakthrough approach, The C-Factor, Andrea helps teens enjoy better relationships through conversation, connection, and compassion. It's a proven approach that helps teens gain confidence while discovering their true identity so they can live an empowered life.

Prior to starting her coaching firm, Andrea worked with the department of human services where she experienced first hand working with troubled kids, their families, and foster parents. She helped families in crisis situations gain stability and hope in their lives. She also trained people to be foster parents.

Recently, as a school counselor, Andrea worked closely with teens and their parents to resolve problems including bullying, failing grades, and even tougher challenges.

Her secret is in the coaching model. In traditional parenting the parent dictates what a teen will do and how they will behave. We tend to parent the way we were parented. Today's world requires us to take a different approach. Coaching helps kids tap into their inner wisdom and to find their own answers. It gives teens the confidence and ability to make better decisions and to take charge of their lives.

An active member of the educational community, Andrea is a member of both the Colorado Counselors Association and the Northeast Colorado Counselors Association. As an educator Andrea earned recognition for her contributions in the teaching industry when she was awarded the Honorable Mention Counselor of the Year in 2001. Her credentials include being a certified trainer for the Olweus Bully Prevention program.

Her education includes a Masters degree in Secondary School Counseling for grades 7-12 from the University of Northern Colorado. Prior to that, she earned her undergraduate degree of a Bachelors of science in industrial organizational psychology and anthropology from Kansas State University. She is currently working on her professional coaching certification through International Coach Academy to get her PCCP designation.

Andrea is a dynamic speaker who challenges her audiences to rethink the traditional approach to parenting and mentoring teens. Andrea has shared her methods with parents, teachers, schools, churches, and professional associations around the country.
